Interns

Laura Jackson completed an internship with the CTC as part of her Master's in social work at The University of Iowa. Laura assisted with a community survey project in order to determine the greatest needs to increase access to transportation in the Iowa City, Coralville, and North Liberty area. Laura also assisted with making contacts in the community to present this information to and coordinate improvements in transportation services. Additionally, Laura organized a dance fundraiser event which raised $500 to purchase bus tickets which were disbursed to area non-profits including Shelter House, the Coralville, North Liberty, and Iowa City food banks, Neighborhood Community Centers in Iowa City, and other agencies serving low-income or marginalized communities.
