Our Programs

The Community & Transportation Coalition works to ensure that all Johnson County residents have access to the transportation they need to thrive. Through research, advocacy, and direct assistance, we're building a more connected, equitable community where lack of transportation is never a barrier to opportunity.

Give a Bus Ride Program

For many in our community, reliable transportation is the difference between employment and unemployment, between accessing healthcare and going without, between independence and isolation. Our Give a Bus Ride Program distributes a variety of bus tickets and  passes to individuals in need through trusted partner organizations like Shelter House, Community Crisis Center, United Action for Youth, and Access 2 Independence. These passes help people get to work, attend medical appointments, access social services, continue their education, and participate fully in community life.

Research & Advocacy

Understanding our community's transportation needs is the first step toward meeting them. CTC conducts research and analysis to identify gaps in service, barriers to access, and opportunities for improvement in Johnson County's transportation network. We use this data to advocate for policies and programs that expand mobility options, improve transit service, and ensure transportation planning centers the needs of all residents—especially those who are underserved by current systems.
Get Involved

Whether through volunteering, sponsoring transportation for community members, or partnering with us on research initiatives, there are many ways to support CTC's mission. Together, we can build a Johnson County where everyone can get where they need to go!
