The Give a Bus Ride Program’s Journey Since 2017
Since its founding in 2017, the Community Transportation Committee (CTC) has been dedicated to one simple but powerful goal: removing transportation barriers for Johnson County residents in need. Through our flagship Give a Bus Ride Program, we partner with local transit providers to distribute bus passes and transit fares, empowering individuals to access employment, healthcare, education, and vital community services.
Our Financial Commitment
Every dollar we raise goes directly into the community. From 2017 through 2024, CTC has distributed over $8,900 in transit assistance to those who need it most—all without any paid staff or overhead expenses. Our model is built on transparency, partnerships, and community generosity.
